Inside MusiCast 'Pick Of The Day': “Save Me”, by Al Jarreau. Selected by Eddy Cabello

When JARREAU was released in 1983, it was Al's third consecutive #1 album on the Billboard Jazz Charts. In 1984 it received four Grammy nominations including Producer of the Year (Jay Graydon). SAVE ME is an iconic album for Al Jarreau and also featured the playing of bassist Abe Laboriel. It was composed by David Foster, Jay Graydon and Al and still stands the test of time as an amazing track. Foster adds the deep Rhodes sounds while Laboriel is rock solid on the bass rhythm parts. As to the horns, you know who's playing. Jerry and the guys nail it. Again, the bass lines are never overplayed...so tasteful. Enjoy.
