Inside MusiCast 'Pick Of The Day': “Only You", by Mayer Hawthorne. Selected by Brian Pearson

Back in 2013 Mayer's album "Where Does This Door Go?" was my album pick of the year. This project defined blue-eyed soul with a deeply funky groove that even had some elements from one of his favorite bands (and mine), that being Steely Dan. Since then he's branched out to release a few EP's as well as a side project that goes under the moniker of "Tuxedo." Fast forward to 2019-2020 and he has gone the route of releasing 2 sided digital singles. So far a total of 8 tunes have been released within the past few months and I gotta say that I dig this approach and I'm definitely digging the new tunes...
