Guitarist Mike Stern released a world album "Voices" in 2009. It is probably his finest album. It was conceived after Stern heard bass virtuoso Richard Bona playing with Josef Zawinul's Syndicate. Bona is also a wonderful singer, and his multi-tracked vocals here demonstrate that.

Stern's solo on "One World" shows why he is one of the most respected jazz/rock guitarists in the world today.

The album features an all-star cast including Michael Brecker and Bob Franseschini on saxophones, Jon Herington on rhythm guitar, Richard Bona on bass, kalimba, vocals., Chris Minh Doky on double bass, Lincoln Goines on bass guitar, Vinnie Colaiuta and Dennis Chambers on drums.
