Terry Wollman

Hello everyone, Welcome to Mango Eater Studio!

Thank you to Eddy and Rick for having me on your show! I really enjoyed our conversation. Here are a few photos of my creative space where I write, record, mix, practice and contemplate life and music.

It’s my happy place

Me in my happy place.

For my Writing/Mixing area I need an uncluttered creative area to write, record, mix and reflect. I do my best to keep this area of my studio clean and lean so I can surround myself with guitars, picks, capos, score paper, water and healthy snacks. A few of my basic recording tools are Genelec and NS-10 speakers, Mackie MCU-Pro and Big Knob, iRig Mini and Pro keyboards, Blue Mix-Fi headphones, and a ring light for hosting my Podcast "Making It with Terry Wollman."

One of my Taylor Guitars (I've been a Taylor endorser since 1998), rack connected to my MacMini computer (Mesa Boogie Tremoverb and Studio PreAmp, MOTU 8Pre, Avalon 737sp, BAE 1073, Eventide H-3000, Lexicon PCM70, DBX 160xt, Yamaha S90 piano, Blue Hummingbird stereo mic setup, etc.)

Every studio needs a sweet spot for the client's listening area. I've had that Mexican blanket since I was 15. I should have bought two!

I always like to keep some eclectic percussion instruments around to add that extra magic to a track. (Here's a few of them including a Bass Kalimba that I picked up while performing in West Virginia.)

My current compact live rig is is also great for recording. (Mesa Boogie Mark 5 Twenty-Five and single 12' cabinet, Xotic Wah/AC Plus/EP Booster/SP Compressor, tc electronic Polytune and Flashback Delay, Line 6 M5, Boss Volume Pedal, Cordial guitar and patch cables)
